A man has been charged with manslaughter following the death of another man at a workplace in western Sydney last year.

Emergency crews were called to a business on Links Road on 1 February 2021, following reports a man had been pinned between a truck and forklift.

Despite desperate attempts by paramedics, the 40-year-old man died at the scene.

Following ongoing investigations into the incident, police have now issued a 59-year-old man a court attendance notice for the offence of manslaughter.

“Police will allege in court that the man was operating the forklift prior to the incident,” NSW police said.

He is due to appear at Penrith Local Court today.
