A 40-year-old man has been arrested by NSW Police, accused of being involved in a dozen robberies across Sydney over the last couple of weeks.
NSW Police established Strike Force Yapok to investigate several alleged break and enter offences between May and June this year, including home break-ins and robberies at retail stores, service stations, a restaurant and a pharmacy.
Following extensive inquiries, investigators stopped a Mitsubishi Outlander in a car park outside a licensed premises on Sherwood Road, Merrylands about 3.10am on Thursday.
The 40-year-old was arrested and taken to Granville Police Station where he was charged with eight counts of break and enter dwelling, and five counts of attempt break and enter dwelling.
He was refused bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court yesterday, where he was formally bail refused to appear at Parramatta Local Court on June 23.
Detectives have also released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries, as they continue to investigate the crimes.
He is depicted wearing a light-coloured hooded jumper and joggers.
