Paramedics were kept busy on the Gold Coast last night, assessing over a dozen people as a result of multiple car crashes.

Crews – including critical care paramedics – were first called to Pimpama to assess six patients after a multi-vehicle crash at the corner of Swan Road and Yawalpah Road.

None had to be transported to hospital.

Around that same time, paramedics were also called to a crash in Ashmore, at the intersection of Parkridge Drive and Southport-Nerang Road.

Three people were assessed at the scene but weren’t taken to hospital.

Later on, two cars collided along Hinkler Drive in Highland Park. Two people were assessed and had to be taken to hospital for further treatment.

They’re both understood to be in stable conditions.
