Duo injured after car smashes into tree in Gold Coast hinterland

Two people managed to escape serious injuries in a nasty crash on the Gold Coast’s Scenic Rim early this morning.

It happened on Mundoolun Connection Road in Wonglepong, when their car smashed into a tree just before 12.30am.

Emergency Services rushed to the scene, with a woman sustaining neck and chest pain.

A male was also treated with facial injuries.

The duo were transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in stable conditions
