It was a dramatic night for residents in Ormeau, with a massive fire and police incident unfolding late in the evening.
Emergency Services were called to Daniells Court around 11.15pm after a car was set alight.
The inferno began rolling towards nearby properties, forcing PolAir to circle the street and use a loudspeaker to warn residents of the danger.
Thankfully, no homes were damaged and nobody was injured.
A group of people were spotted fleeing the scene.
A Queensland Police spokesperson has confirmed the car was not stolen, but that it has been towed for forensic analysis as investigations continue.
Two fire crews attended the scene and extinguished the blaze by around 11.45pm.
