If you’re looking for a fun and fulfilling way to give back, why not join Radio Lollipop as a volunteer!

The charity is on the hunt for some new local volunteers to help bring smiles to kids’ faces in hospitals.

Radio Lollipop believes in the healing power of play, providing smiles and laughter to children when they need it most through their bedside and playroom visits, as well as their radio show which broadcasts live from the children’s ward.

“It’s truly such a rewarding experience… seeing a child go from being upset, to smiling and laughing all because you played a game or did a craft is the best feeling,” volunteer Amira Aboukoura said.

“You really can see the difference you’re making in these kids’ lives.”

The team at Gold Coast University Hospital is looking for passionate and committed Gold Coasters to help form an all-new Funky Friday team.
