A teenage boy has died and another has been seriously injured after a brawl broke out at the Royal Easter Show in Sydney overnight.

Emergency services were called to the carnival ride section about 8pm on Monday after reports of a fight.

When officer arrived, they found two teenagers with stab wounds, including one in a critical condition.

“Police rendered first aid until NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived and treated them at the scene, before both were taken to Westmead Hospital,” MSW Police said in a statement.

“Police have been told one youth has now died.

“The second youth is undergoing treatment in hospital.”

Footage of the incident shows another male being taken into custody at the scene. He has since been taken to Auburn Police Station but no charges have been laid at this stage.

It’s believed the incident was not a random attack and that those involved did know each other.
