Two children have been taken to hospital following a near-drowning in Surfers Paradise.
The youngsters, both female, came into trouble while swimming at the beach around 9.30am on Sunday.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson told myGC the pair took on some water and were treated at the scene by paramedics.
They’re both in stable conditions and are recovering in the Gold Coast University Hospital.
Authorities are pleading for anyone heading to the beach today to be careful and swim between the flags, with a hazardous surf warning in place.
