A woman has been charged with high range drink driving after she allegedly crashed into a number of parked cars in a Gold Coast shopping centre while more than seven times the legal limit.

Police were called to a carpark in Sanctuary Cove around 7pm last Wednesday after reports a woman driving a Nissan X-trail had struck two parked cars.

When officers arrived they breath tested the 36-year-old woman and she allegedly returned a reading of 0.379%

The Coomera woman’s licence was immediately suspended and she has been charged with a high range drink driving offences.

She is due to face Southport Magistrates Court on April 4.
