Over 1000 Gold Coast properties without power

More than 1000 homes and businesses on the Southern Gold Coast are currently without power.

Around 1,160 properties in Tugun have been affected, while an additional 6 in Currumbin Waters are also impacted.

The power outages were caused by a tree falling on power lines along Toolona Street in Tugun.

Energex crews are on the scene working to fix the issue as soon as possible.

Fire crews are also on the scene assisting Energex.
