Three police officers have been seriously injured in a horror crash while responding to reports of a stabbing in Caboolture South.
One of the officers was last night fighting for his life in hospital after his police van collided head-on with a ute, believed to have been driven by a man linked to the stabbing.
It happened along River Drive just before 3.00pm on Saturday, with the one officer hospitalised in a critical condition and the two others suffering serious injuries.
The man behind the wheel of the ute is also believed to be in a serious condition suffering from leg and chest injuries.
Police are investigating whether he deliberately drove at the police van.
The victim of the stabbing, which occurred on nearby Moon Street, is in a serious condition.
Investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
