They’re usually good mates on the field, but Titans stars David Fifita and Kevin Proctor will go head to head in this month’s NRL All Stars game.
Fifita will spearhead the Indigenous All Stars pack, while Proctor will take his spot in the Maori All Stars side.
Proctor said he’s excited to once again be involved in the special initiative.
“Whenever I get to put on a Maori jersey, it’s not just representing your country, but you represent your culture as well,” the 32-year-old said.
“My mum and dad are from different tribes, so you get to represent both tribes.
“It’s unreal. You feel like you’re back in New Zealand. It’s a good experience and I love being a part of it.”
Six men and four women will represent the Gold Coast in the clash, with Esan Marsters and Will Smith joining Fifita in the men’s Indigenous side.
While Jasmine Peters and Shaniah Power will take their spot in the women’s team.
Erin Clark and Patrick Herbert will line up alongside Proctor in the men’s Maori pack, with Shannon Mato and Tiana Raftstrand-Smith joining the women’s Maori side.
The Titans players will join the All Stars camp on Monday, ahead of the much-anticipated event on February 12.
